So tell me if we were meant to be; shawty had three chances to try to be with me,
Our first time was at the High; we were in the same class,
We would talk and walk together; but those months flew pass,
Second time the Fates played their hand; we were thrown in a class once again,
I had a girlfriend at the time; still in the back of mind I wanted her as mine,
Though she went and got pregnant at first react my heart drop; but as time went on my feelings for her never did stop,
The third time was even more recent than the first two; how ironic that it was my ex-girlfriend that made a connection go through,
I was still feeling her and I guess she was fully feeling me; but only after two days of bliss I finally would see,
The calls stopped coming and the visits never did occur; I found myself alone wondering what was up with her,
Found out from her sibling she had up and moved; over to the Lone Star State so our relationship was through,
Often I think about what we could have become; 'til this day she still remains as my Missed One.
Now this girl right here I would have never known; if I wasn't friends with her cousin that moved from his west coast home,
Out of two others she was the one I was choosing; though she was in town simply for a family reunion,
Basically she was here for just a few days; so could you blame me for being speedy in my ways,
I understood she captivated other guys around; but I was determined not to be just another face in the crowd,
Though at times I wondered why bother; she would shun away like a son to a distant father,
She claims to be God's Gift and Nu Breed Diva's Hustlin' as her brand; not to mention that back home she had a man,
Her last night here I guess we formed a bond; because the next morning she would be long gone,
I don't know if I'll still be here the next time she comes; but whether I'm here or not she's still apart of my Missed Ones.
This last girl here had both intellect and class; I first knew of her fifteen years in my past,
Male suitors I'm sure she had plenty; this woman was professional head-to-toe and never lacked in her beauty,
We started back talking last winter and our relations bloomed in the spring; I would visit every time she worked it was our lil' thing,
Our time spent that summer could be compared to a short dream; she later spent the rest of it on the J-Ville scene,
She had since then moved further north to continue her studies; we still kept in touch like two good buddies,
However now she has a boyfriend though she knows not why he loves her so; she wouldn't tell me the guy's name so I guess I'll never know,
If she ever comes back I'll know because she shines like the sun; I'll recognize her immediately she is my Missed One.
